The News Minute | January 18, 2015 | 09.20 am IST Support is pouring in from all quarters for Perumal Murugan. His book 'One Part Woman' is going to be relay-read at a book fest in Bangalore on Sunday. However, the writer himself has confined himself to his home ever since the simmering protests against his book erupted into a big controversy, reported The Hindu. Living in a neighbourhood full of teachers, the writer himself interacts with students and teachers visiting his house. However, the writer who is also a Professor of Tamil Department at the Government Arts and Science College in Namakkal restricts himself to academics during discussions, said the report. As he promised, Perumal Murugan’s Facebook page and web page have been closed down a few days after he made a public announcement following the protests against his book.
