The News Minute| March 11, 2015| 3.26 pm ISTDear friends, My sister (Jizil Mathew, age 24) is missing since 5th March 2015. Even police are not able to trace her. Please let us know if you have any information about her. This message from TA Alexander accompanied with a picture of his missing sister Jizil in a black kurta, went viral on various social media platforms last week. Thousands shared his message on various platforms, imploring for information, but almost a week later there is still no news on Jizil’s whereabouts.Read- à´œà´¿à´¸à´¿àµ½ മാത്യുവിനെ ഇനിയും കണ്ടെത്താനായില്ല..അന്വേഷണം തുടരുന്നുOn the morning of March 5, Jizil’s husband Jobin Johnny dropped her at the Cochin Special Economic Zone. She had to attend an interview in an office situated inside the zone at 9.30 am.“On the message I posted in social media, I erroneously said that she had been to Info Park Cochin, my brother-in-law later corrected me. There are people including the security guard who saw her go inside. But where did she go after that? We have no clue, the police too seem to have made no headway,” a distraught Alexander told The News Minute.Alexander works as a driver in Perinthalmanna and has been staying in Cochin for the last few days trying to trace his sister.Jizil got married less than two months ago and shifted from Bengaluru to Cochin, after resigning from her job at an international bank.As per available evidence, police believe that Jizil was not kidnapped, but left on her own will.“There is no evidence of any criminal activity, especially a kidnap. We think that she may have gone away on her own will. But as of now we are treating this as a missing case and trying to locate her,” a sub inspector of the Thrikkakara police station told TNM.Police say that CCTV cameras at the Zone were not functioning as there was no power in the area at the time. "Her mobile was used once on Monday, we traced the signal to a mobile tower situated in Palakkad district. the mobile has been on switched off mode after that," he added. Was Jizil unhappy? “This is a question we are asking ourselves now, but we are puzzled,” Alexander said. “She was happy to get married, in fact she did not mind moving from Bengaluru to Cochin. Ever since she went missing, we have been trying to find if she liked someone else, but have found no information that makes us suspect the same.”Even though Jizil’s image went viral, Alexander did not receive much information that could point to her location or explain her disappearance. “I am hoping that someone would have seen her somewhere and they will contact me,” he said.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
