The judge appreciated the police official on duty and asked him to come visit him if he stopped by the High Court. Even before this incident PM Indira Gandhi knew Kiran Bedi well. She knew how tough the cop was when it came to her duty. On the Republic Day of 1975, it was Kiran Bedi who insisted on her senior that she would lead the Delhi police contingent. As she marched past, she saluted the PM who was overjoyed seeing a lady police officer leading a contingent. So much so that PM Indira Gandhi invited Kiran Bedi for breakfast.
