Singer/rapper Nicki Minaj is in hot water over her new single’s video ‘Only’. The video is completely animated and has blatant imagery representative of Nazism. The concept of the video is a war-like and dictatorship and the way those concepts have been depicted is through Nazi-like imagery. The video is reminiscent of the old Nazi propaganda videos released during Hitler’s regime.

The video has it all – the long gray tapestries and a full army wearing red arm bands, standing in attention in front of Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, who feature in the song as well. There is a ‘NM’ (Nicki Minaj) logo on everything, just like the swastika.

The video has caused much criticism towards the singer, as well as the director of the video, Jeff Osborne. Osborne has gone on record to say that he is not going to apologize for the video. He also confirmed that the video had Nazi imagery, and he had a right to show it under creative liberty. Minaj, however, apologized and took full responsibility for it. She stated that she never would condone Nazism, especially since one of her closest friend is jewish.
