Manjhi, the Mountain Man continues to inspire. Starring Nawazudin Siddiqui, the biopic on Manjhi, the mountain man looks very promising, to say the least. Starring not just Siddiqui, but Radhika Apte as well of Badlapur fame, the trailer raises expectations for the movie set to release on August 21, 2015. The 'Mountain Man' had, single-handedly, cut through a hill to make a road for his village. Manjhi had taken up the uphill task after his wife was injured and he had to take a long detour around the hills to reach the nearest hospital. Last year Dasrath Nagar , Manjhi's town was in news again when Bollywood actor Aamir Khan came visiting and promised help, though not much came their way. Manjhi, who died in 2007 in his early 80s, also wanted to develop his native village so that it had all the basic facilities - but that was a dream which remained unfulfilled in his lifetime, and later. Manjhi hailed from Dashrath Nagar in Gaya district. In 22 years, he cut a 300-metre-long and 25-ft-wide road through a hill to link Ghivra Mauja of Dashrath Nagar, in Gehlaur Ghati, to Atara Prakhand, Wajirganj, thereby reducing the distance between the two places from 75 km to just one km.
