The Telugu dubbed version of the Tamil movie Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, titled as Khakee released to packed houses on November 17, 2017.
The film is getting positive reviews from all quarters. However, Khakee is yet to release in some places and Karthi’s fans are naturally unhappy over it.
Recently, a Karthi fan living overseas brought it to the notice of the film’s producer SR Prabhu and told him that the film did not release in the area where he is currently residing and wanted to know when he can catch it on Amazon Prime Video.

Replying to the tweet, the producer said that it would take at least 25 days for the movie to be on the Amazon Prime Video. He then came out with a suggestion that would have every movie fan shocked.
SR Prabhu said that the fan can go ahead and watch a good pirated version of the film but suggested that he should donate $10 for those in need.
His reply was, “If you can't wait that long, you can find a good quality pirated version online. But, please make sure to donate $10 to the needy after watching the pirated film. I will be happy and so will u be.”
Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru / Khakee - The Power of Police has been directed by Vinoth, who made audiences sit up and take notice in his debut flick Sathuranga Vettai. The film stars Karthi in the lead role and he plays a cop in it.
Based on the Operation Bawaria Dacoity Case, the film has Rakul Preet Singh playing the female lead. Others in the star cast include Abhimanyu Singh, Bose Venkat, Manobala, and Sathyan. The film is produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under their banner Dream Warrior Pictures on a budget of Rs. 14 crores.
