Not only did Balan’s dream of meeting Malayalam superstar Mammootty come true but the video of him interacting with the actor has now gone viral on social media.

Balan, a tribal from Wayanad, had his moment with Maammootty when the star was in his district, filming for his next project Uncle.

A Facebook post by Sinto Thottipully, a driver at the film location describes how Balan, a die-hard Mammootty fan found the actor and how they came to take a photo together.

“A Mercedes Benz car was coming through the forests of Wayanad Pulaplly when a person ran to the car and stopped the vehicle by waving his hands. A woman opened the car window and the man with the panting voice asked in Wayanad slang ‘Is Mammoottikka there in that road, people said he is there.’

It was the woman who asked to stop the vehicle seeing the man. She answered, ‘Yes he is there, why?’

With a smile he said, ‘naan mooparinte aala’ (I am his man in Wayanad slang).

Then the person heard a voice from driver’s seat, ‘Please come this side’. He was shocked and stood still for 2 minutes there. Rest you can watch it here,” reads the Facebook post with a video.

The video shows Balan, still in disbelief, standing by the window of a car, as Mammootty seated behind the wheel attempts to take a selfie.

While the star makes conversation with the nervous fan, the woman in the car attempts to take a photograph of the two. Mammoottyy even instructs other by-standers to move away so he can take a picture with his fan.

Besides inquiring his name, Mammootty goes on to ask Balan how much land he owns, what agriculture he does and which tribe he belongs to.  Balan replied stating he owns 10 cents of land, and belongs to the Kaattunaykar tribe.

The excited fan also admits to Mammootty that he was struggling to meet him over the last two days.

The video ends Mammootty and Balan posing for the camera, as they shake hands.
