As the much awaited Chai-Sam starrer Majili is set for a big release on Friday, fans were delighted with the release of the making video for the song ‘Priyathama Priyathama,’ from the film. The song has already garnered a lot of attention for Chinmayi’s voice, the lyrics by Chaitanya Prasad and the tunes composed by Gopi Sundar.

“Very emotional song,” says actor Naga Chaitanya in the video, going on to add that though it comes across as a happy song, it would definitely evoke deep feelings when paired with the visuals. “The song is blended beautifully with the narrations,” chimes in Samantha Akkineni about the song.

Director Shiva Nirvana states in the video that Chinmayi’s voice has only added to the overall impact of the song. Actor Naga Chaitanya, who plays the lead role of Poorna in the film, tweeted the video upon its release saying, “#PriyathamaPriyathama making video for you all!”

Shiva Nirvana explains that the song showcases the love a girl feels for a boy in her neighbourhood, from a young age. “It’s playful, emotional and painful at the same time,” he says.

The video showcases scenes of Samantha and Chaitanya from two different stages of their lives. One seems to portray them as young school students while the other is of them as a married couple.

Majili is Chai-Sam’s first film together after getting married. It is Shiva Nirvana’s second directorial after the 2017 hit film Ninnu Kori starring Nani and Nivetha Thomas in the lead, along with Aadhi Pinnisetty. The film will also see debutante Divyansha Kaushik in a small role. Gopi Sundar, who previously composed the tunes for Naga Chaitanya in Premam, is the music director. Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi have produced it under the Shine Screens banner. The movie releases on Friday.
