Tollywood star Nagarjuna and director Ram Gopal Varma’s Siva, which released way back in 1989, was a big hit and its Hindi remake marked the former’s debut in Bollywood.

Incidentally, Siva was Ram Gopal Varma’s debut movie. The film turned out to be a phenomenal hit. They then worked together in Antham which released in 1992.

After 25 years, the duo is getting back together for a movie and news about it has film buffs excited. On getting to team up with Ram Gopal Varma, Nagarjuna said that his first instruction to the director was to work on the script thoroughly and give his complete concentration to the project.

He has been quoted by the Deccan Chronicle as saying, “When he first came to me three months ago, I very clearly told him to go back and work on the script and come back later and not to do two other films while waiting for my consent. Rather he should put all his other projects and ideas away and just focus on my film. That was my condition for agreeing to do his film. He set everything else aside and worked on the script and came back to me. That’s when I said yes. I feel Ramu has been doing too much work and a lot of it inconsequential and irrelevant. He has been way too scattered in recent years. But I feel this film will bring him back to his ‘Shiva’ days.”

Reports suggest that the shooting of the Nagarujuna – RGV film will go on to the floors later this month. The first schedule would go on for 10 days after which the team will go in for a break.

The second schedule is expected to begin after the release of Akhil Akkineni’s Hello which is gearing up for release later next month.
