A 48-year-old man from Tumakuru reportedly sent an eerie warning to a Bescom employee asking him to stay away from the sender’s wife – he packed snakes in a box and sent it to him.

Bangalore Mirror reported that the employee and other staffers were frightened after opening the package from which snakes crawled out. Some letters in the package said that if the employee did not stay away from the sender’s wife, he would be in for more dangerous surprises.

The package was delivered on Tuesday at Bescom vigilance office near Shivananda Circle.

Police said that when the employee (identity withheld) opened the package, two cobras crawled out, frightening him and other staffers as well following which, they threw the box out of the office.

The report added that the letters found in the box addressed to the employee, who has recently shifted from Tumakuru to Bengaluru said that if he didn’t stop getting too close to the sender’s wife then he would receive more such dangerous warnings.

The employee has lodged a complaint with the High Grounds police station. They registered a case of criminal intimidation.

Speaking to BM, DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil said, “The employee has provided some leads which we are following. We are in touch with the courier company that delivered the parcel. We will make an arrest in the case soon.”
