Chinese phone brand Vivo has launched a new smartphone for the Indian market, the Vivo U20. This is a successor to the Vivo U10. There are a few improvements being brought about over the predecessor.

The key specifications of the new phone are as follows:

The Vivo U20 has a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display offering a screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. The processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, bumped from the Snapdragon 665 SoC seen on the predecessor. The RAM support is in two variants, 4GB and 6GB and the internal storage, the same 64GB on both the variants. There is provision for a microSD slot to increase storage up to 256GB.  Android Pie, version 9.0 will be the operating system.

The optics section sees a triple camera setup in the rear, a 16MP sensor is the primary shooter in the arrangement, which is a Sony IMX499 lens and the other two cameras have resolutions of 8MP and 2MP. The first is a wide-angle camera and the second a macro lens. The phone has a large 5,000mAh battery and gets the proprietary Dual-Engine 18W fast charging support.

Vivo includes the 18W charger in the pack itself. You have the complete suite of connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and so on. You will find the full range of onboard sensors as well, including a fingerprint sensor in the rear of the device.

The prices of the new Vivo U20 in the Indian market have been announced as well. The 4GB+64GB variant will be sold at Rs 10,990 while the 6GB+64GB will bear a price of Rs 11,990. There are two colour options, Racing Black and Blaze Blue.
