While there are reports that Vishwaroopam 2 is gearing up for release in a couple of months and the filmmakers are busy with the post-production work, rumours began to surface recently that the team is stationed in Turkey to film some important sequences. Putting it down as mere rumours, Rajesh M Selva, a close associate of Kamal Haasan, clarified in an interview to the Deccan Chronicle that, “There are many stunt sequences in the sequel that involves a lot of CG portions. The work is almost in its tail end. Only a very little portion is left to complete. We don’t know which rumour we have to clarify, because there are a a lot of them going around. We haven’t decided about the shoot and only the talks are on.”

Rajesh M Selva appealed to the fans not to believe in rumours as every detail about the film is being updated through Twitter. He went on to add that just 10% of the shooting is to be completed, and it will be shot soon.

Vishwaroopam 2, a sequel to the hit film Vishwaroopam, is directed by Kamal Haasan who plays the main lead in it. Kamal is a RAW agent in the movie and the star cast includes Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur, Waheedha Rahman, Rahul Bose and others.

Ghibran has composed music for Vishwaroopam 2 with Sanu Varghese and Shamdat Sainudeen cranking the camera. Mahesh Narayanan has been roped in for editing. Vishwaroopam 2 involves a lot of VFX, which is one of the major reasons for the delay in its release. Produced by Raaj Kamal International, Aascar Film Pvt. Ltd and Balaji Motion Pictures, the film’s distribution rights have been acquired by Eros International.

Vishwaroopam 2 is expected to hit the silver screens on October 18 this year and the team is working towards this deadline.
