Vineeth Sreenivasan, son of popular Malayalam actor Sreenivasan, is a multi-talented film personality. He is an accomplished playback singer, lyricist, actor, director, producer and screenwriter. While Vineeth made his debut as actor with Cycle in 2008, his maiden directorial was the hit flick Malarvadi Arts Club in 2010. He then went on to direct critically acclaimed films such as Thattathin Marayathu and Jacobinte Swargarajyam.

In an interview to the Times of India, Vineeth expressed his desire to direct his dad Sreenivasan in a full-length role. Though he had the opportunity to direct Sreenivasan in Malarvaadi Arts Club and Thattathin Marayathu, it did not have him in the lead role. Speaking about his desire in an interview to the Times of India, Vineeth Sreenivasan said, “One of my biggest wishes though is to direct my father in a full-length role. I have directed him in Malarvaadi Arts Club and Thattathin Marayathu but I want to direct him in a central role in a film that you don't expect from him. I have had discussions with writers for such a film but nothing has materialised yet.”

On working in a high budget project now that the Malayalam film industry is expanding, Vineeth said, “I am definitely interested, but again I should zero in on such a screenplay. The question for me has always been if I get a star to work on a particular subject, will it attract the amount of audience we want? I will do such a film when I get an affirmative answer. Sometimes when I think of stories, I want to cast a superstar but then on further thought it becomes clear that the script will not appeal of all sections of the audience; so I drop the idea."
