Actor turned producer Nithin Sathya is now producing a film under his banner Shvedh Productions. It was revealed earlier that Vaibhav is playing the lead role in this flick and according to the latest buzz actor-director Venkat Prabhu has been roped in as well. Reports are that he will be playing a cop in the film along with Vaibhav.

The film, which has not been titled yet, will be directed by SG Charles, an erstwhile associate of director Mohan Raja. The technical crew comprise music by Arrol Correli and cinematography by Santhanam Sekar.

Speaking about adding Venkat Prabhu to the star cast, producer Nithin said in an interview to The New Indian Express, “This will be the first time we'll see Venkat Prabhu in the role of a tough cop with negative shades. The idea was to make two friends, who have known each other for decades in real life, appear as on-screen rivals. It's working out really well and both look very intense. The final schedule is happening right now in Chennai and the film will be wrapped up in another ten days.”

It may be noted here that Nithin Sathya had played a pivotal role in Chennai 28, a cult hit movie that was directed by Venkat Prabhu way back in 2007. The film, which was based on cricket turned out to be a massive success following which the team went on to make a sequel to it.

Also, Vaibhav Reddy had starred in several of Venkat Prabhu directorial including Mankatha, Saroja and Goa in which he got to don important roles.

With the hit combo - Nithin Sathya, Venkat Prabhu and Vaibhav Reddy - teaming up again expectations are high on the project. More details are awaited on the rest of the star cast.

Meantime, Venkat Prabhu is gearing up to commence the shooting for STR starrer Manaadu. Simbu is currently in London where he has gone to shed weight for his role in the film. It is believed that shoot will begin as soon he returns from his trip.
