A Ugandan woman, who had allegedly been trafficked to Bengaluru, was reportedly pushed from the third floor of a building in Kothanur area.

She had refused to be a part of the sex racket in which her friends were involved.

Thirty-two-year-old Nazia (name changed) had come to India from Kampala in January to find a job, reported Deccan Chronicle.

Two weeks ago she asked two people- Faridha Chidabo, said to be a native of Nigeria and Vicky - whose identities are yet to be verified, for some financial help.

Besides promising to find her a job, they lent her money provided she agreed to mortgage her passport to them, which she did.

However, DC reported that her passport was reportedly confiscated by a Ugandan woman, Farida Kirabo, who had promised her a job at a restaurant. Nazia was also told to pay Rs 3 lakh to Farida for bringing her to India.

“Instead of working at the restaurant, I was forced into prostitution by Farida and her accomplices Joy and Vicky, both Ugandans. They told me it was to recover Rs 3 lakh from me,” Nazia.

“After I finished paying Rs 3 lakh to Farida, I went on Friday night to their house to collect my passport back so that I can go back to my country. But Farida, Vicky and another unidentified Nigerian man picked up a quarrel with me and assaulted me,” said Nazia.

On Sunday, Nazia went to their residence in Chennappa layout and asked for her passport as she wanted to go back to her country, reported Bangalore Mirror.

Instead of giving her passport to her, the duo allegedly asked her to get into prostitution. Her refusal led to an argument. What started as an altercation, soon turned to violence, reported BM.

The duo pushed Nazia out of a window on the third-floor. She sustained multiple injuries.
