It is not just you rating Uber drivers, they rate customers too.

At the end of each trip, passengers and drivers are given the option to rate one another based on their trip-experience.

Both riders and drivers can rate each other on a scale of one-to-five, with five being the best.

According to Uber, "The rating system works to make sure that the most respectful riders and drivers are using Uber. Ratings are always reported as averages, and neither riders nor drivers will see the individual rating left for a particular trip."

The process of passengers checking their ratings was made easier only recently by the company. Earlier passengers had to email the company to get their ratings, reported BuzzFeed.

Last year, Aaron Landy published a post on Medium showing a hack through which people could know their ratings in four easy steps. The hack was reportedly blocked by Uber later.

"An Uber trip should be a good experience for drivers too – drivers shouldn’t have to deal with aggressive, violent, or disrespectful riders. If a rider exhibits disrespectful, threatening, or unsafe behavior, they, too, may no longer be able to use the service. Have partner drivers been deactivated for consistently poor ratings? You bet. Have riders been given a temporary cooling off period or barred from using the app for inappropriate or unsafe behavior? Yes."- Uber

Here's how Uber customers can now check their ratings.

Go to the menu on the top left corner of the page- select Help- go to Account- select “I’d like to know my rating"- Your rating will be emailed to you.

This is how it appears.
