Read: Karnataka to hold last rites for U R Ananthamurthy with full state honours The Deccan Herald reports that during the last phase, Ananthamurthy was researching about Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Gandhi's concept of Swaraj. Many writers who knew him well say URA wanted to write more about Gandhi. The 75 page book that juxtaposes the two ideologies also has references to PM Modi's rise as a leader says the report. Kannada critic S R Vijayshankar confirmed to the paper that URA had given him a draft copy of the book, the author's note pending.
