Traffic diversions in Hyderabad for Durga idol immersion on Oct 6: Details

The diversions are likely to be in place around Necklace Road on October 6 starting from 4 pm.

The Hyderabad traffic police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the immersion of Durga idols in Hussain Sagar lake on Thursday, October 6. Traffic will be diverted at NTR Marg and People’s Plaza on Necklace Road from 4 pm till the immersion concludes on October 6. The following diversions are likely to be in place around Necklace Road, depending on the traffic congestion due to Durga idols brought for immersion.  

> At Necklace Rotary: Traffic coming from Khairatabad flyover will not be allowed towards the NTR Marg and will be diverted towards Mint Compound Road via IMAX

> At Telugu Talli statue junction: Traffic coming from Ambedkar statue will not be allowed towards NTR Marg and will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar

> At Nallagutta Bridge: Traffic coming from Minister Road will not be allowed towards Necklace Road and will be diverted towards Karbala at Nallagutta Bridge

> At Buddha Bhavan: Traffic coming from Buddha Bhavan will not be allowed towards Nallagutta Bridge and Necklace Road. Commuters intending to go towards Minister Road have been asked to take the route via Ranigunj

Meanwhile, on Wednesday too, the Hyderabad traffic police announced traffic diversions in connection with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to TRS Bhavan, Banjara Hills for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Legislative Party meeting from 10 am to 3 pm. Police said traffic congestion was expected around Road No 12, Banjara Hills and TRS Bhavan road. 

CM KCR is all set to announce the TRS’ foray into national politics on Wednesday. The TRS is likely to be renamed Bharata Rashtra Samiti' (BRS), the ruling party sources said in Hyderabad. The final name of the party is likely to be announced by KCR on Wednesday. Speaking to the media, Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod had earlier confirmed that the national party would be launched on Dasara, as it is considered an auspicious day.
