The Cyberabad City Traffic police will implement traffic diversions for three months to facilitate Hyderabad Metro Rail construction work between the proposed Hi-Tech city and Raidurgam stations. The area in question is one of the most traffic-choked roads in Hyderabad.

The proposed traffic diversions between Hi-Tech city station and Raidurgam station (Mindspace) will affect one side of the road from Cyber towers junction up to Cyber gateway. The Cyber towers flyover will also be closed partially for traffic going towards JNTU. So, the flyover will be only one way towards Cyber gateway.

The Cyberabad traffic police has proposed diversions for commuters coming from Raheja mindspace to JNTU to take left at Lemon tree via Deloitte, Tech Mahendra-CII-HITEX-Shilparamam.

Commuters coming from Madhapur to Raheja mindspace and Biodiversity junction will have to take left in front of Shilparamam via Trident hotel and take left in front of Cyber gateway to proceed further as usual.

Though the traffic diversions are expected to remain for the next three months, officials say the exact date when the diversions will come into effect is yet to be decided.

“We are still planning on the details and the exact date when the restrictions will come into place has not been decided, mostly within a week’s time. Commuters will face difficulty in the initial days but we have proposed alternate routes that they can use. We have not yet announced this officially,” said Chandrashekar AS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad (Traffic), “We will also be deploying additional traffic police to ensure smooth flow of traffic. The modalities are still being worked out,” he added.

The alternative routes for traffic flow towards JNTU have also been proposed by the traffic police.

Those commuting from Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki, Gachibowli Jn-Botanical garden Jn-Kothaguda Jn can use the alternate route from Nanakramguda, Khajaguda, etc HITEX In-Shilparamam.

Commuters using the roads from Financial District, ORR, ICICI, etc can use the roads from Botanical garden junction-Kothaguda junction-HITEX junction, Shilparamam.
