  1. The Hyderabad High Court on Friday postponed orders on the bail petition of TDP legislator A. Revanth Reddy in the cash-for-vote case to June 30. The court reserved its orders after hearing arguments from both the public prosecutor and Revanth Reddy's counsel. Read more. 2. Mild tension prevailed near the chief minister’s camp office in Hyderabad as students activists tried to enter the VIP premises to lay siege and list out their demands. The demonstrators demanded action against corporate schools that demand high fees and burden parents. The police arrested 86 persons in the scuffle that followed. Read a report in The Hindu. 3. For the second year, former Prime Minister and Congress stalwart P V Narasimha Rao's birth anniversary was celebrated officially by the Telangana government. Rich tributes were paid on his 94th birth anniversary as ministers from Telangana and leaders of the Congress party and Rao's family members paid floral tributes at his Samadhi 'PV Gyan Bhoomi' on the banks of the Hussain Sagar Lake. The electoral registration officers (EROs) under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) have reportedly marked 18.30 lakh voters for deletion from the electoral rolls in Hyderabad after officials found the voters to have shifted residence or found the door locked when they paid a visit. This means almost 45 to 50 percent of the 40.98 lakh voters in the 15 assembly constituencies would get deleted as the process of verification by the EROs is coming to an end. The Telangana government sped up the process to take over common institutions listed under Schedule X of the AP reorganization Act even as the Centre is taking steps to bifurcate the institutions between the two Telugu speaking states. The government plans to continue with employees from Telangana and is reportedly issuing relieve letters to employees from AP, Deccan Chronicle reports.
