The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Vizag Metro Rail has been completed after Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which has been tasked to prepare DPRs for both Vizag and Vijayawada metro rail projects, will submit the report to the state government in two weeks, Deccan Chronicle reports. 2. Coming down heavily on authorities for taking up a tourism project aimed at constructing Shilparamam, an arts and crafts village, on a lake bed on the outskirts of Nellore town, the Hyderabad High Court expressed concern that the lake might disappear and has directed authorities to submit all records related to the project, Sagarkumar Mutha writes for the Times of India. 4. The new Customs Commissionerate for AP has been set up at Vijayawada, which will be its headquarters to keep a close watch on smuggling activities in all the 13 districts of the state. South Central Railway is planning to run a few unreserved special trains for the Godavari Pushkarams from Machilipatnam, Rajahmundry, Narsapur and Bhimavaram Junction from July 12 to 26 to ease travel to the Godavari river bank.
