Suganya was found dead under mysterious circumstance in her house in Kolakombai about 20km from here, on January six 2013.

The murder came to light a year later when Balakrishnan, under the influence of liquor, told Suganya's sister that it has he who had strangulated her to death.

Based on a complaint by Suganya's sister, Balakrishnan was arrested.
