The People's Welfare Front, comprising the left parties, MDMK and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, on Tuesday lashed out at two Dravidian majors -DMK, ruling AIADMK and claimed people were now looking for an alternative force as they were fed up with these two parties.
Addressing the state level conference of the Front here, leaders, including CPI-M Tamil Nadu Secretary G Ramakrishnan and VCK leader Tol Tirumavalavan, claimed people were now looking for an "alternative force as they are fed up with the DMK and the AIADMK which were highly corrupt and the People's Welfare Front will be that alternative force."
CPI Tamil Nadu state secretary Mutharasan said both parties should be defeated in the coming assembly polls.
Meanwhile MDMK leader Vaiko claimed people's faith in them would help them win the election.
Any effort to break the Front would not succeed, he added.
