Chiranjeevi’s dream project, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, features an ensemble cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan and Nayanthara, which narrates the glory of unsung freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.

He was hanged to death by the British in the 18th century. Helmed by Surender Reddy, Chiranjeevi will be essaying the role of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy.

Recently, Chiranjeevi participated in a test shoot which took place in Hyderabad. With Chiranjeevi in complete getup, a small sequence was shot, edited and a small amount of VFX was applied. According To reports, the actor is totally content with the look and the sequence. 

The movie's regular shoot is slated to go on the floors from December 6, and is going to unfold in Hyderabad. Arrangements are on to kick-start the maiden schedule near Aluminum Factory, where a specially designed, huge set will be erected.

Also starring Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Nassar, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, Ravi Kishan, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao, Jayaprakash and Raghu Karumanchi, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a high budget film with the producers earmarking Rs. 200 crore for the project. 

The makers of the movie are taking extra precautions and they are planning to make Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy as a pan-India film, following in the footsteps of the Baahubali franchise.

The film will be released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. The first look of the film was released a few months ago on the eve of Chiranjeevi’s birthday which has generated a lot of hype among the fans and audience.

Bankrolled by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan under the banner Konidela Productions, the Oscar award winning music composer AR Rahman will be composing the tunes for this flick with Ravi Varman cranking the camera and art director Rajeevan creating the sets.

With the film being set in the 18th century, the art director is doing extensive research to get it right.
