Six persons including a Telugu TV actor, Prashanthi, were booked by the police in Hyderabad after allegedly creating a nuisance at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

The police said that they registered a case after the complainant, identified as Santhosh, said that the actor and her group of friends got drunk in the corporate box and did not allow him to watch the match between Sun Risers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.

He alleged that they created a ruckus, disturbing all other spectators who in the same box and neighbouring boxes. He also alleged that they also threatened him of dire consequences when he protested.

A video of the incident was also captured on CCTV footage. The visuals show Prashanthi climbing on to a chair cheering and posing, before jumping onto a man in front of her, supposedly a friend, even as another woman is seen filming the incident.

A case was registered under Section 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 506 (Criminal Intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides sections of the City Police Act. A small-time actor, Prashanthi is reportedly known for her roles in a few Telugu films.

Meanwhile, valiant knocks by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) openers David Warner (67 off 38) and Jonny Bairstow's (80 unbeaten off 43) guided the team to a massive nine-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL match in Hyderabad on Sunday.

The Rajiv Gandhi stadium is under surveillance of 200 CCTV cameras which are monitored from the joint command and control room at the stadium.
