Actor Jagapathi Babu having recently bagged a pivotal role in actor Vijay’s next film, tentatively titled Vijay 60, he’s now keen on working with actor Ajith Kumar next.
Jagapathi Babu is quite popular in Telugu filmdom with films such as Srimanthudu and Nannaku Prematho to his recent credit, has set his eyes on expanding base to Tamil industry. Although the 55-year old has starred in Tamil films such as Lingaa and Thaandavam, he couldn’t quite make an impact with his roles.
“I’d really love to work with Ajith. Since both of us currently sport the salt-and-pepper look, I think we’d make a great pair on screen. I’ve always admired the humility of Ajith and the way he carries himself without absolutely any airs of stardom. It’d be a treat to work with him,” Jagapathi told The News Minute, adding that he doesn’t even mind playing the baddie against Ajith.
The actor has also recently signed another Tamil film with Vishal, besides Mohan Lal starrer Malayalam film Pulimurugan, which is slated for release in July. Mostly known for playing the lead till a few years back, it was Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer legend who introduced him as an antagonist and since then there has been no turning back.
