The News Minute| December 2, 2014| 5.00 pm IST“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them". - Walt Disney. This holds true for Vijayan and Mohana, a tea shop owner couple based out of Kerala, who did not just dream but also conquered most of them- their dream of travelling around the world. Surviving on money they make out of a tea-stall they own, the couple has travelled to over 16 countries over the course of their marriage. But dreams don’t come easy, they say. Neither did it for this couple. They would travel to a country, come back and spend the next three years paying off the loans they took up to make it happen. Over the years age has caught up with them.Following our story on them and their difficulty in getting a loan to make their one final dream, of travelling to the United States of America, come true due to financial concerns, requests to help pitch in to help fulfill this couple’s dreams have been pouring in from across the globe. Read- A tea shop owner couple who have visited 16 countries, one dream destination leftWe’ve had people offering their homes for them to stay in once they reach the States, we’ve had people hoping they can show them around. Keeping all this in mind, we have begun a crowd fund for Vijayan and Mohana (with their consent), and we hope to play a small part in making their dreams come true. We hope you do too.The money collected will be given to them directly as soon we reach our goal or collect how much ever possible within the next 30 days. The money will primarily be used for their flight tickets, accommodation, food, visa charges and for travelling within the US. Also, the plan is to make it easier for them to enjoy a more convenient trip by setting them up with a travel agency.Little or big, every rupee makes a difference. What might be insignificant for one person, will make the world for another. Here’s hoping we can bring some joy and smiles to this wonderful couple.Link to crowd funding- Help Vijayan and Mohana.
