The Allahabad High Court has acquitted the dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in the sensational 2008 Aarushi murder case. After the CBI failed to prove the couple guilty, the court has cleared the couple of murder charges. The couple were sentenced to life imprisonment in 2013 for murdering their daughter Aarushi and the domestic help Hemraj. Aarushi was found dead in her house in 2008 with her throat slit.
Aarushi murder case wasn’t just about the 14 year old. What made it one of the most controversial and mysterious case is the murder of Aarushi’s domestic help Hemraj. Who killed Hemraj?
The well-known journalist Barkha Dutt tweeted about the less discussed segment of this unique case.
Let's not forget that Hemraj was murdered too. #ArushiVerdict and we will never know the truth about who killed either or both.

While all media houses have picked up #TalwarVerdict, Twitter has been buzzing with reactions on how media has failed in covering Aarushi’s murder case.
We as a society nd media's coverage hav failed d Talwars! 4 years in jail 4 a reason as worse as killing their own daughter! #AarushiVerdict

They lost their daughter. Spent a decade like criminals. We still don't know who murdered Aarushi and Hemraj. Where's the justice?

The case has been under investigation for 9 years now. Well that’s almost a decade and not enough time for CBI and Indian police to clear the murder case of a 14 year old, some twitteratis felt. People also questioned the shoddy investigation of the case.
Omar Abdullah’s tweet is unapologetically pointed at the sloppy investigation of CBI
Don’t know who killed #Arushi & will probably never know but what I do know is the police made a total dogs breakfast of the investigation.

Maybe it is time for India’s forensic team to buckle up and speed up the criminal trials, says another user.
#Forensics need to be made strong & #CriminalTrials need to be speedy. One cannot put justice as a carrot for slow procedure.#ArushiVerdict
