The last time Taapsee Pannu was seen as heroine in a Telugu movie was in Sahasam, that hit the marquee four years ago.

Since then, she made only cameo appearances in Tollywood films. Well, the actor is all set to stage a comeback as heroine with the horror flick Anando Brahma.

Speaking about the film, its producer Vijay Chilla said that it is a ghost movie with a difference.

He added that while people get scared of ghosts, it is right opposite in Anando Brahma.

The theme of this horror flick is completely different that it will attract the audiences, he added.

Speaking in this regard, the producer was quoted as saying, “It’s a horror film and the director made it in a different way.” It is directed by Mahi V Raghav.

While Taapsee will be shouldering the entire film as she plays the central character in it, the star cast also including Srinivas Reddy, Vennela Kishore and Jabardast Shankar playing pivotal roles. On the film’s release, the producer said that he is eyeing an August 18 release.

Taapsee made a promising start in the film industry with her debut in Tollywood being Jhummandi Naadam. Since then she had starred in a number of Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi movies. Her debut flick in Tamil, Aadukalam went on to win several National awards and she then made her debut in Bollywood with Chashme Baddoor. She has had a successful year so far with three films – Running Shaadi, The Ghazi Attack and Naam Shabana – hitting the marquee already.

Incidentally, Taapsee was seen in the horror franchise, Kanchana 2 in which she had shared the screen space with Raghava Lawrence.  The actor is also looking forward for her two Hindi movies, Tadka and Judwaa 2 to release this year.
