As winners, these teams have won prizes worth up to Rs 10 lakh and an opportunity to work with the innovation teams of PwC and Samsung.

Eight teams from across the country have been announced as winners of the deep tech, multi-city hackathon ‘Hack2Innovate’, which was held as a part of Road to GES, a prelude to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017. The announcement was made at the Road to GES summit in Hyderabad on Sunday.

CopraML, Team Tintin, Team CVI, Team Random, ROverloads, Digital Chaos, Team Plastic and Hack Overflow are the eight teams that were declared as winners.

The hackathon was organized by T-Hub, in partnership with NITI Aayog across seven cities with a focus on areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Cognitive and Neural Language processing and Computer Vision.

The idea behind this was to enable the development of ground breaking technology solutions that can impact people, policy and industry with Samsung as the title partner along with NVIDIA and PwC.

CopraML was chosen as a winner by NVidia for showcasing one of its deep tech products in retail. Hack Overflow for PWC’s social media sentiment, Team Plastic for Report tracking, Digital Chaos for Weather forecasting and ROverloads for its expense tracker.

All teams used open source software library TensorFlow and worked on high power computing instances provided through Microsoft to build their deep technology solutions.

As winners, these teams have won prizes worth up to Rs 10 lakh. CopraML won a GTX 1080Ti GPU from NVidia, Team CVI and Team Random get goodies from Samsung and an opportunity to work closely with the innovation team of Samsung. ROverloads, Digital Chaos, Team Plastic and Hack Overflow also get goodies from PwC and the opportunity to work with its Innovation team.

Winner will also get access to all events and networking sessions led and organized by T-Hub, and avail credits of T-Hub’s select list of service providers.

In addition, these teams also get a ‘golden ticket’ to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit that is being held in Hyderabad from November 28-30.
