Suriya and Samantha starrer 24, being directed by Manam fame Vikram Kumar, with music by AR Rahman, released worldwide on Friday.
The film is being distributed in TN by multiple distributors. The total worldwide screen count is set to be between 2100 to 2200, according to our sources, which is apparently Suriya’s biggest release.
The bilingual has got a big opening in AP & Telangana as some of the theaters are houseful for the entire opening day, and the makers are aiming for a Rs 50 crore market in the region.
24 is a cleverly written, inventive thriller set against the backdrop of time-travel, and it's made in such a way that it appeals as a commercial potboiler too. Thanks to the seamless narration, Suriya's creditable performance, particularly as the evil and wicked Aathreya, and some great visuals besides AR Rahman's music.
It is jointly produced by Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment and Studio Green.
