Vijay Sethupathi, who had six releases last year, might have as many numbers of releases or even more this year. With nearly half a dozen projects in his kitty, including the already wrapped up Kavan and Puriyatha Puthir, it is being rumoured that he might team up with Suriya for a project. Although no official announcement has been made yet, it is believed that Vijay Sethupathi has been signed for a project under Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment, and the film is most likely to feature both of them together for the first time.
Even though the actors have remained tight-lipped about the development, sources close to Suriya have confirmed that talks have been initiated in this regard. Although the source also clarified that the project may take time to materialize as both Suriya and Vijay Sethupathi are busy with their current commitments. Meanwhile, Suriya hopes to produce a few projects in 2017, apart from taking up acting assignments as he’s keen on good content.
2D Entertainment so far has produced Pasanga 2 and 26 Vayadhinile, and they also have Jyotika-starrer Magalir Mattum in the pipeline.
