Remember all those weeks ago when the ‘Jimikki Kammal girl’ Sheril G Kadavan said that she’s open to stepping into Tamil films? Well, actor Suriya and the Thaana Serndha Koottam team unveiled a special surprise on Monday with the release of the teaser for the film’s second single Sodakku.
The peppy koothu number features a special appearance by none other than Sheril and Anna, the faculty members at the Indian School of Commerce who shot into internet stardom with their rendition of the Jimikki Kammal song from the Malayalam film Velapadinte Pusthakam.

The foot-tapping song teaser, which hit social media for music composer Anirudh’s birthday, features lyrics by Mani Amuthavan and Vignesh Shivn, and upbeat vocals by Anthony Daasan.
While most of the video shows the film’s star Suriya dancing on the streets in a variety of outfits, it’s impossible to miss Sheril and Anna’s special appearance at the start of the video. With close to 500,000 views on YouTube at the time of writing, the song teaser is well on the way to going viral.
Thaana Serndha Koottam, Suriya’s first venture with director Vignesh Shivn, also stars Keerthy Suresh, Ramya Krishnan, Suresh Menon, Thambi Ramaiah and comedian Senthil. The film is set to hit the screens for the Pongal festival weekend in January 2018.
