Sunny Leone has recently signed a deal for a period war saga that will have her in the title role. Titled as Veeramadevi in Tamil and Veeramahadevi in Telugu, the makers of this film are planning to release it in all the four south Indian languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam – and in Hindi as well.

Veeramadevi / Veeramahadevi is a high budget film that will be bankrolled by Ponse Stephen and directed by VC Vadivudaiyan. The groundwork for the film has commenced already and the team will go ahead with the shooting in February next year.

According to sources close to Veeramadevi, Sunny Leone has allotted 150 days of call sheet and will be undergoing special training in sword fighting, horse riding, as it is required for the role. Being a period film, Veeramadevi will have a good amount of VFX included which will be a visual treat for the eyes.

Director Vadivudaiyan’s directorial debut was in 2008 with the movie Saamida and he then went on to direct films such as Thambi Vettothi Sundaram, Sowcarpettai and Pottu.

The Canada-based Sunny Leone, made her debut in Bollywood with the 2012 starrer Jism 2 and since then has been bagging roles in the Indian film industry consistently. She has appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and Kannada movies as well. Incidentally, most of the roles she has bagged happen to be either cameo appearances or item dance numbers.

Apart from acting in films, Sunny Leone has also had a successful stint in television having hosted several shows and participated in reality shows as well.
