Director SS Rajamouli may have directed several blockbusters in his career, including Student No 1, Simhadri, Yamadonga, Maghadheera, Maryada Ramana and Eega / Naan Ee, but it was with Baahubali that he reached the pinnacle. He had devoted about five years for Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion and interestingly both these films were high on VFX. In fact, a large portion of the budget was spent on the graphics alone.

According to the latest buzz, Rajamouli’s upcoming multi-starrer, RRR, which has Ram Charan Teja and Jr NTR playing the lead roles, will also be high on CG. Reports indicate that this film will be a complete action entertainer, which makes computer graphics highly essential. To be bankrolled by DVV Danayya under his banner DVV Entertainments, about Rs 300 crore has been earmarked for the project of which a major part will be utilised for VFX. On the lead stars’ roles in the film, we hear that Ram Charan will be playing a cop and Jr NTR will be seen as a gangster.

The prep work for this film is currently on and it is expected to go on the floors in August this year and it may be mentioned here that that the RRR team, including Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR, were in the US a couple of months ago for a special photo shoot to test their look in the film.

While there are a lot of speculations about the women leads to be roped in for the project, ranging from Rashmika Mandanna to Rakul Preet Singh to Keerthy Suresh, there is still no official word on this yet.

With SS Rajamouli, who has the massive success of Baahubali to his credit, taking up a completely different genre with RRR, fans and film buffs wait with a lot of anticipation for the movie release.
