After courting controversy on Malala Yousafzai’s Nobel Prize win, Art of Living (AOL) Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar came under fire from Twitterati again, this time because his fans could not take a joke in the shade of his ‘nobel’ stride.
Former Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna posted a joke on her Twitter handle on Sunday, about the Malala-Sri Sri controversy, which she later deleted. The tweet read:

Immediately after the tweet was out, Twinkle received a lot of flak from AOL followers, some going to extent of bullying her- by starting a #boycottHousefull3 trend. Because, when you can’t beat the woman, target the husband, right?
Looking at the social media outburst at what was meant to be a joke, Twinkle immediately retracted her tweet and also apologized for having hurt sentiments.
According to DNA, the #boycottHousefull3 trend was apparently started by Darshak Hathi, International Director at the Art of Living Foundation. He also later deleted his tweet.
However, the fire had already started, and this resulted in a war of tweets between the supporters of Twinkle and AOL followers.
@mrsfunnybones My tweet was in respond to your tweet which has hurt my sentiments. I appreciate that you have gracefully deleted it.
