The Kannada movie The Villain is the first film to have two teasers released on the same day. Director Prem decided to launch two teasers for the two heroes in the film. While one teaser focused on Shiva Rajkumar, the other had Sudeep in the limelight. Despite the film industry seeing several multi-starrers in the past, this is the first time two teasers were released on the same day focusing on the two main leads separately.

According to reports from tinsel town, the filmmakers have another unique plan, this time for the audio launch. We hear that The Villain’s audio will first be released in Hubbali and later in Dubai. It is indeed a good strategy to release the audio abroad as it will gain publicity worldwide. Interestingly, the audio will be released in the same location where the audio of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 was launched.

The Villain, written and directed by Prem, is produced by CR Manohar under his banner Tanvi – Shanvi Films. Made on a high budget, the film brings together the two leading stars of Sandalwood, Shiva Rajkumar and Sudeep. While the two are sharing screen space for the first time, Amy Jackson will be making her debut in Sandalwood.

The star cast also includes Mithun Chakraborty, Mukul Dev, Srikanth, Sruthi Hariharan and Radhika Chetan. Arjun Janya is the music composer for this flick while Girish R Gowda has cranked the camera. The Villain was launched in the year 2015 by the then chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah and the first look was released in March 2017.

According to reports, the film is in post-production mode right now but there is still one song that needs to be canned. This song, featuring Sudeep and Amy Jackson, will reportedly be canned this month and the film will hit the screens next month.
