Director PS Mithran made a big splash last year with Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai, which also featured Arjun and Samantha Akkineni in crucial roles. Months after the film’s release, it was finally confirmed last November that Mithran will next team up with Sivakarthikeyan in a 24 AM Studios production. The yet-untitled project is currently being dubbed as SK 15 and the latest update is that the project will go on the floors from February, according to reliable sources. The project also stars Arjun in a pivotal role while Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in as its composer.

In September 2018, talking to Times of India, Mithran said that he and Siva had worked on a short film and have been planning to work together for a while. Apparently, they were even supposed to work on a project even before Irumbu Thirai. “I’d written a story for him long ago, and we were supposed to do a film even before Irumbu Thirai released, sometime in 2017. After the release of my film, we met and decided to work together. This project will be a racy thriller. That’s how I’ve planned it for now. Just like Irumbu Thirai, this film will also have a social message.” George C Williams has been confirmed to crank the camera.

Siva is currently juggling between two projects – a yet-untitled comedy with director M. Rajesh and a science-fiction film with Ravi Kumar. Rumours are doing the rounds that the project with Ravi Kumar has been put on hold at the moment due to budget constraints. Rakul Preet Singh pairs up with Siva in this project and she will be seen playing an astronomer in the film. On the other hand, Siva is waiting to commence work on the last schedule of Rajesh’s comedy film. This project marks his reunion with Nayanthara after Velaikkaran.
