A video that has surfaced online shows anchor Aditya Narayan, who is the son of singer Udit Narayan, yelling and threatening the staff of IndiGo airlines.
The incident took place at the Raipur airport; it is however not clear when exactly it happened.
At one point, Aditya can be seen telling a staff member, "I started abusing you when you said, 'don't abuse, you have no right to abuse.' I can say whatever I want to say..."
Aditya goes on to say that he was not abusing him initially, and that he was making a video with his friends. He reiterates that he could say whatever he wants.
A flared up Aditya then says that if the airport prevents him from taking the flight, he will deal with the official after he reaches Mumbai.
"If I don't remove your underwear (chaddi), then my name is not Aditya Narayan," he says, and walks off.
IndiGo, as reported by ANI, has said that Aditya was on his way from Raipur to Mumbai with a group of five people.
He was carrying 40 kg of excess baggage for which he had to pay Rs 13,000 to the airlines. He first allegedly refused to pay the amount after which he said he would not pay more than Rs 10,000 for his excess luggage. He used "unparliamentary language with the female staff member" and also misbehaved with a duty manager at the airport.
