Shruti Haasan to star opposite Pawan Kalyan in SJ Suryah's film
Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan, last seen together in the 2012 blockbuster “Gabbar Singh”, have teamed up for the second time in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster “Veeram”.
Interestingly, Shruti is said to have signed the project without even listening to the script, simply because she didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to work with Pawan Kalyan. While the pre-production work is already underway, the film will commence its regular shooting next month.
Kalyan was earlier supposed to work on the remake of Ajith’s “Vedalam”. However, he chose “Veeram” over it as he felt the story, when tweaked a little, will suit his image. Tamil actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah, who has previously worked with Kalyan on two occasions including “Kushi” and “Komaram Puli”, has been roped in to helm the project, which is being directed by Sharrath Marar.
Shruti will join the sets of the film after she wraps up her portion in her father Kamal Haasan’s upcoming trilingual film “Sabaash Naidu”, in which the duo will be seen playing father-daughter for the first time.
