The film, about three stages of romance in its protagonist’s life, will hit the screens in July.

Remember the scene from Malayalam blockbuster Premam where Sai Pallavi breaks into an impromptu dance, leaving Nivin Pauly and his friends in awe? Something similar happened on the sets of the film’s Telugu remake, which is also titled Premam, and this time Shruti Haasan stunned her director and the entire crew.

In the Telugu version, Shruti reprises Sai Pallavi’s role of a college professor, and when she recently shot for the brief dance episode, everybody on the sets couldn’t believe what they just saw. A source from the sets revealed that Shruti rehearsed a few days for the dance episode. It’s tipped to be her best dance performance and the makers are confident that the audiences are going to love it. The dance episode was recently filmed at Andhra University, Vizag.

Chandoo Mondeti is directing the remake, which features Naga Chaitanya in Nivin Paul’s role, while Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian play their own roles from the original. The film, about three stages of romance in its protagonist’s life, will hit the screens in July.
