Actor Prabhas is currently busy with Saaho, a film that he is doing after working in Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion for nearly five years consecutively.

This has raised the expectation levels for Saaho. Paired up with Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhas told PTI in an interview, that it is the first time in his career, that he is getting to pair up with a Bollywood star.

In his interview to PTI, he had told, “I have never worked with a Bollywood actor before and she is the best choice for the role. We are very lucky to have her on board. Her character is not just like coming and going or just there for the songs. The character is very important and adds a lot of weight to the story. It is one of the most important characters in the film. She has some amazing action sequences also. It is a very strong character. She is a very hard-working actor and she is very comfortable (on the sets). Most of the actresses I have worked with have started their career in South and then shifted to Bollywood. Shraddha is already a Bollywood star, but she is very dedicated,”

It may be mentioned here that earlier Anushka Shetty was the choice to play the female lead but later Shraddha Kapoor hopped onboard.

Written and directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is a trilingual being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. The film stars Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor as the lead pair with the star cast also including Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and Lal in important roles.

Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy are composing the tunes for this action thriller with R Madhie cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad roped in for editing.

Made on a huge budget, Saaho is bankrolled by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod under the banner UV Creations. The shooting of this film began in June this year, with plans being made to release it during the summer vacations next year.
