Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s next directorial titled ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is progressing at a brisk pace.
The film stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
Currently, the shooting is happening in Hyderabad, where it will be wrapped up soon.
Following the wrap up, the team will head to Kashmir for a month long schedule where they will be canning the major portions of the film.
Tipped to be another romantic drama, Karthi plays a pilot in the film and will be seen in two different getups including a clean-shaven look.
Aditi will be seen in the role of a doctor.
According to sources, the story goes that on his trip to India, Karthi falls in love with Aditi, who works as a doctor in Kashmir.
It looks like after years of ‘Dil Se’, Mani Ratnam is back with a love story interwoven with a complicated situation of terrorism and social issues.
Also starring Shraddha Srinath, RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganesh and Rukmini Vijayakumar, the movie will have music composed by AR Rahman.
The project will be wrapped up in the next five months and if everything goes as planned; the makers hope to release the film by the beginning of next year.
