An associate director of ‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth's next film, which is also touted to be India's costliest production ever, has accused the makers of non-payment of dues.

Murali Manohar, an associate director of 2.0, which is being directed by Shankar, claims to have been working on the film for a year and has lashed out at the makers for non-payment of dues for months.

Murali Manohar has won a National Award for a short film titled Karna Motcham in the year 2008. Later he joined Director Shankar as an Associate Director in the year 2012 with the film Nanban. His association with the director continued for Vikram's  I and currently he is working for 2.0.

Through an emotional social media post, he said that in spite of repeated requests, the makers – Lyca Productions, have not paid him for months.

His Facebook post reads, “There is no point in waiting anymore. All media-people and friends know that since last December, I have taken up the full responsibility of the dubbing work of ‘2.0’ (the film) and been working on it. During dubbing, Rajini sir personally spoke to me and that had become news as well. I am not the one to spread anything for the sake of news. I was not given the salary for the last month. I am still working this month too. Even after telling the truth, there has been no answer from anyone.”

With just a few days left for the audio launch of the film which will be held at the Burj Park in Dubai on October 27, the makers are busy with preparations.

Dubai's Burj Park is a 11,300 square meter lawn located at the base of Burj Khalifa Tower and a budget of Rs 12 crore has been reportedly allotted for the launch event alone.

Composer AR Rahman will hold a live performance at the event and several international stunt artists are expected to perform at the venue as well.
