Director Selvaraghavan’s first film with Suriya, titled NGK, has been progressing for several months now. While it was heavily speculated that the film would be out in the theatres for Deepavali this year, unfortunately, it did not make it. Following this, Suriya and Selva’s fans have been regularly requesting the filmmaker to post updates about NGK.

Reacting to this, after a long silence, Selvaraghavan had tweeted: “My humble request. We work hard and we work in silence. Updates will come at the right time. Not every third day or every week. And i strongly believe that if you give us strength we will work much more harder towards our goal. #NGK.” Well, this should put an end to all queries about the film and its progress.

Suriya, who will be sporting bearded look for NGK, had shaved it off to move over to the KV Anand directorial. This gave rise to several speculations about NGK being delayed. However, the star grew back his beard for NGK and has hopped on to the sets, reports sources.

NGK stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi as heroines and has Meera, Jagapathi Babu and Bala Singh playing the supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the tunes for the film and Siva Kumar Vijayan is cranking the camera with Praveen KL in charge of the editing.

It may be noted here that the first look poster of NGK (Nandha Gopalan Kumaran) raked up the curiosity levels of the film buffs and the second poster has upped it even higher. A political drama that is being directed by Selvaraghavan, the film is being bankrolled by SR Prakashbabu and SR Prabhu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. Reliance Entertainment has bagged the distribution rights of the film.
