All set to make her Kollywood debut with Jayam Ravi-starrer Vanamagan, young actress Sayyeshaa is currently the toast of the town. The 19-year-old is in demand and apparently has a clutch of projects in her kitty including a big Hindi flick.
The latest update is that she has been signed on as the leading lady of actor-filmmaker Prabhudheva’s upcoming Tamil directorial Karuppu Raja Vella Raja, which marks his return to calling the shots in Tamil filmdom after seven years.
Even though an official announcement is expected, we have learnt from reliable sources that Sayyeshaa has already been finalised.
“Prabhudheva worked with Sayyeshaa on a song in Vanamagan. He has choreographed a song in the film and during the process he really liked her work. He was so impressed that he offered her his project and she immediately jumped at the opportunity. Though it is not known whether she will play the pair of Karthi or Vishal, it has been confirmed that the project will be officially launched on April 10,” a source said.
Produced by Isari Ganesh, the shooting of the project is expected to commence from June. Sayyeshaa is also in talks for a big Telugu project but she’s playing her cards safely as her maiden film Akhil turned out to be a dud.
