Sarath Kumar’s role in Puneeth’s Rajakumaraa revealed

The audio and trailer launch of the Puneeth Rajkumar starrer Rajakumaraa was out very recently. In this event, which was held at a hotel in Bengaluru, Sarath Kumar revealed that he is playing Puneeth’s dad in the film.

Saying that he is deeply attached to the role he got to play as Puneeth’s father, Sarath added that he was both sentimentally as well as emotionally attached to it during the course of making the film. Sarath also recalled seeing late Dr Rajkumar’s films and said for him it was always Karnataka means Rajkumar and vice versa.

Puneeth also spoke highly of the Tamil star and was humble enough to say that he was not as popular as Sarath despite enjoying a huge fan following himself. Another son of Dr Rajkumar’s, Raghavendra Rajkumar, recalled his father saying that he had watched some Sarath Kumar starrers and praised him for his acting skills.

Directed by Santhosh Ananddram, the film is getting ready for release on March 24, 2017. Bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films, Rajakumara has Priya Anand playing Puneeth’s lead pair. Music is by V Hari Krishna, cinematography is by Venkatesh Anguraj and editing is by KM Prakash.
