Sania and Shoaib hint about baby Mirza-Malik, note the surname please

"...whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik," Sania earlier said.

Ace tennis player Sania Mirza took to Twitter to announce her pregnancy on Monday evening. Sania tweeted the picture of a set of three lockers - with her jersey and her husband Shoaib Malik’s jersey, and a third locker which says ‘Mirza-Malik’, and has a feeding bottle.

Sania is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. He also tweeted the same picture.

Earlier this month, Sania said that she and Shoaib had decided to give their child Mirza Malik as a surname.

"Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that's where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter," Sania said during a panel discussion titled ‘Gender Bias’ at the Goa Fest 2018.

Also earlier this month, when Sania raised her voice about the Kathua rape and murder case.

“Is this really the kind of country we want to be known as to the world today ?? If we can’t stand up now for this 8 year old girl regardless of our gender, caste, colour or religion then we don’t stand for anything in this world.. not even humanity.. makes me sick to the stomach,” she tweeted.

In response to this, a Twitter user said that she had ‘married into Pakistan’.

“With all respect madam which country are you talking about. Last time I checked you had married into Pakistan. You are no longer an Indian. And if u must tweet then also tweet for the innocents killed by Pakistan terror outfits..,” the user tweeted.

Sania gave the user a befitting reply, and asked them to ‘stand for humanity’.

“First of all nobody marries ‘into’ anywhere .. you marry a person! Secondly NO LOW LIFE like you will tell me which country I belong to.. I play for India,I am Indian and always will be.. nd maybe if u look beyond religion and country one day you may just also stand for humanity!
