South Korean white goods giant Samsung has launched in the Indian market a whole new range of smart TVs. In terms of the screen sizes, these start from 32 inches and go right up to 82 inches. As for pricing, the range starts at Rs 24,900.

A senior executive from the company, explaining the new features of their smart TVs, has said these include Home Cloud, Live Cast, Two Way Sharing etc.

The Home Cloud feature helps with creating a gallery where the photos and videos from the users’ smartphones can be automatically transferred to a USB drive inserted on the smart TV and assigned a password. This can be done even without an internet connection. These images and videos can be shared using the TV to other smartphones as well.

Going further, the company claims these Samsung smart TVs can be virtually turned into personal computers and can be used for multiple purposes. Through securing the TV with Knox, you can have facility of creating documents using Microsoft Office 365. This is a service over the cloud and is similar to what you get using your computer. You can mirror your laptop screen on the TV and this too can be accomplished without an internet connection.

So, you can play music, watch the Live Cast entertainment and convert it into a PC while enjoying the basic functions of the television you are already accustomed to. The two-way sharing feature permits you to exchange data from the TV to your smartphone and from the smartphone to the TV.

A Smart Hub has also been included to provide a single point access to the different services within the TV. Samsung claims these new smart TVs will change the consumer experience in India since many of these features have not been seen here before.
