After a lot of speculation, Samsung is finally making public its next set of flagship smartphones - Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. The speculations, leaks and other renders have disclosed most of the details one could possibly want to know about the devices. The flagships for the year are expected to be unveiled on February 25, at Samsung’s marquee event ‘Unpacked 2018’.

That is a day ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2018. Again, rumors indicate that the South Korean giant may also unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. There are sources which believe the Dex dock may also be part of the announcements at Unpacked 2018.

As far as the Samsung Galaxy S9 is concerned, some of the highlights of the device’s features include the full screen display as seen in the predecessor Galaxy S8 with the aspect ratio being 18.5:9. It is being predicted that the fingerprint sensor will be on the rear panel, below the camera.

As more or less confirmed, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC will be the CPU, though some markets will house the in-house Exynos 9810. The display will be a super AMOLED 5.8-inch one with the screen resolution being 2960x1440 pixles. The smartphone will sport 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage capacity.

The camera setup is being speculated to comprise dual 2x12MP sensors in the rear and an 8MP sensor in the front. The optics section may come with some enhanced features over those found on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

As with the pair, S8 and S8+, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ will have very little difference over the S9. The display could be 6.2 inches, with the same screen resolution and aspect ratio.

When it comes to the Tab S4, it is expected to have a 10.5-inch display and 2560x1600 pixels will be the resolution. The processor will be an octa-core one, and the GPU would be the Adreno 540. The device would sport a RAM of 4GB with the Android Oreo OS. With a camera section having a 12MP rear sensor and 8MP front sensor, the Tab S4 will be provided with the full suite of connectivity options.

The surprise announcement, according to the leaks, could be Samsung’s own social media service. It may be called ‘Uhssup’. It may be Samsung’s efforts to take on Facebook and WhatsApp. The other expectation could be a wireless charger launched by the tech giant.
